After China completed its small-scale reusable rocket landing in the summer, Blue Origin made its own New Glenn booster touchdown. The landing comes nearly ten years after SpaceX completed the same feat with a Falcon booster.

How did you came to the conclusion that BO is going faster than SpaceX to Mars.
What BO has done is taking in space a satellite from NASA, they are just a delivery tool until the earth orbit, from that point NASA fly's them self. What SpaceX wants is fully self organised.
So you're conclusion in this article is wrong.
