Title: Negative Arc Raiders review slams generative AI, reigniting debate about its role in gaming

Not all websites are praising Embark Studios' new extraction shooter. One Arc Raiders review has given the game a poor rating due to its reliance on generative AI. In response, some gamers counter that the limited use of an AI voice generator should not be controversial.

well they also use AI to generate the voices of the commentators in the finals and those ended up being great. there are threads on reddit about who the real voice actors are and that the female commentator sounds like cara delevingne.

Good Grief people... give it a rest already!!

Do you honestly expect a studio to HIRE a voice actor for EVERY voice? Is EVERYTHING have to be created by a human? Get real.

Honestly, I'd HOPE that developers toss a BUNCH of "AI" to the seemingly always LAME NPC's and I long for games that are DIFFERENT every time I play them due to different parts of the "game world" being dynamically regenerated for each play through. :)

Cool so the game is also $40 and not $100 like some other AAA titles.

Waiter waiter more affordable generative Ai content please!
