1.4kg for a 17" laptop is good, but who travels ((lightweight) laptop = I assure one travels not too little) with a ("bendy") 17" laptop, that would otherwise not be possible with a 16" laptop? 17" allows for a further eye distance to the display vs 16", which is better for the eyes, so there is that, I guess.

258V if you want long battery life and lower noise.
255H if you want rather high (especially multi-thread) performance at high wattage for a long time.

I have the 258V - battery life is good - really good, but not 22 hours good.
In the day, I have the screen turned up to max or near max brightness but still easily get a full day's work in with 40% battery left.
I program, present, and yes, **** about on the internet when no-one is looking - my 2558V works for me.

With the kind of jet engine fan noise they generate, they should pay us to use them, not ask us to pay for them.
The fans could dry a wet towel, they're so intense.
And the keyboards are atrocious.
