Title: Creators continue to leave The Sims as a platform in response to EA’s controversial buyout
Post by: Redaktion on November 05, 2025, 06:25:20
Electronic Arts' planned $55 billion all-cash buyout by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund and partners, slated to close in Q1 2027, has triggered a wave of protests from prominent The Sims creators including LilSimsie, Plumbella and James Turner who have left EA's Creator Network and revoked creator codes over fears the new ownership could undermine the franchise's long-standing LGBTQ+ inclusivity.

Now, here's the REAL truth. EA - and its investors - wants this buyout; if the buyout fails, EA would still owe up to $1 billion in termination-fees and legal costs, which could also trigger layoffs to offset losses; regardless of players/employee activism.

So, either way, major reconstruction, in mass numbers, is inevitable at EA... period!

The only move for these DEI/woke devs have looking forward is... look for new employment... now!

Curious if these creators drive Internal Combustion Engines or use or shipped any products or services that do?  Plastic Packaging?  Do they use synthetic fabrics?   Do they use Fertilizers, or food that has been grown that use fertilizers?

It would be interesting if they stopped using these items as well, and let us know how it has impacted their lives.

Dare say I doubt these creators go a few minutes without benefiting from imports from Saudi Arabia in one way or another. Or the "Sims" they play with and benefit from.

But yeah, LBBQBIG and all that.  I get it.  It's a complete threat to your sexual preference.
