Hyundai or Kia electric vehicles already beat Tesla in charging speed and battery longevity. A Kia cargo van range record now puts Tesla's power draw efficiency under scrutiny, too.

"This essentially means that Kia's first electric van...would have only gone about 40 miles further without the 1,500-pound cargo." How is this possible? It seems to defy the laws of physics!
