Post by: Redaktion on October 28, 2025, 06:58:55
Samsung has officially shown the Galaxy Z TriFold for the very first time. It's a foldable smartphone with essentially three displays, which means users can basically turn the smartphone into a tablet with a large screen. The South Korean tech giant has also commented on the release date once again.

It only has two hinges and, this, two folds. Why is this called a TRI-fold?

"Tri-Fold" refers to the number of panels folding in on itself, not the number of hinges. Similar to the "Tri-Fold wallet" there are 3 panels folding in, and the "bi-fold wallet" has 2 panels folding in. ;)

Then why isn't the Galaxy Z Fold 7 the Galaxy Z Bi-fold 7?
