The Lumix S9 is one of the world's smallest full-frame cameras. Panasonic is now refreshing the camera by introducing three new colors and a limited Titanium Gold edition that is limited to 200 units and ships with a matching zoom lens.

So, if it doesn't support an external flash per the article, why does it have a hot shoe mount clearly visible in the picture?

Well, the hot shoe (or rather cold shoe in this case) can still be used to attach other accessories such as a microphone.
