Asus is finally launching its new and very powerful mini PC. The so-called "personal AI supercomputer" supposedly has very high performance, but it's also a rather specialized device that is designed for certain workloads, and not necessarily regular users.

Dell is also now offering a similar machine, same NVidia AI processor, about 150 dollars less.

It has been a huge disapointment, the Strix Halo 395 max goes for half the price and offers similar if not better performance:

Llama 3.3 70B
Strix Halo: 4.9 tok/sec, 0.86s to first token
DGX Spark: 4.67 tok/sec, 0.53s to first token

Qwen3 Coder
Strix Halo: 35.13 tok/sec, 0.13s to first token
DGX Spark: 38.03 tok/sec, 0.42s to first token

Strix Halo: 64.69 tok/sec, 0.19s to first token
DGX Spark: 60.33 tok/sec, 0.44s to first token

You also get a proper x86 CPU with the Strix Halo and you can install your own OS. Where as with the GX10 you get stuck with Nvidia's OS and limited software support.
