Title: XReal Air review: How do they perform in 2025
Post by: Redaktion on October 15, 2025, 17:48:36
Once a breakthrough in portable AR, the XReal Air promised a big-screen experience in a pair of lightweight glasses. But in 2025, can it still compete with newer mixed reality headsets?

The biggest problems with the Xreals for me (I own an Air 2) on anything but their Beam and Beam Pro is the lack of any kind of 3D support and lack of developer support on Windows and macOS. So these end up being just a litera; 1920x1080 floating screen... which doesn't *quite* work since head movements will cause parts of the screen to vanish.

It's a nice 'one trick pony' and can be very useful if you need hands free computer use where the screen has to be in sight while not lugging the computer in front of you (think compact computers) or for passive movie watching or some types of gaming.
