If priced right, this will be the final nail to convince 90% of the population that combustion engines are no longer needed.
I'm fully aware that there will always be people against it, even if/when the electric version is far superior in milage, performance, cheaper maintenance, etc.

Unfortunately everyone developing those SSBs state that those will be expensive. Like, orders of magnitude more expensive per capacity than conventional ones. Thus everything tentatively announced up till now was limited to several luxury models.

It'll start out expensive, but the expectation is that SSBs will end up being cheaper than traditional batteries.
My expectation is that by 2035 we'll have great cheap batteries all-around (better LFP, sodium will have picked up, etc.)
The hypocrisy of western politics. Claiming they care about environment, pollution, decarbonisation and sustainability - by pushing mandates and subsides for it but only when it comes down to non-chinese EVs.
When it comes to Chinese EVs, they're slapping 100% tarrifs. The irony is, if they truly cared about the environment they wouldn't doing this because having cheaper vehicles would boost EV adoption a whole lot more.
EV talk in the west is useless until they drop tarrifs for Chinese EVs. I ain't going to pay to subsidize non-Chinese EVs just because they can't compete.
Ok, we are still in the age of batteries, has anybody tried a bunch of thinly slices of diamond batteries, half diamond battery cells with separated lithium ion cells or solid State cells, diamond batteries are made of carbon that everything is made of,
