Title: NHTSA recall in the US: Nissan Leaf owners warned of fire hazard during fast charging, production chaos for successor model

Japanese automaker Nissan is currently making headlines for all the wrong reasons. The US National Highway Traffic Safety (NHTSA) has initiated an urgent recall of older Leaf models due to a fire hazard during fast charging. At the same time, the company is being slowed by massive production problems with its long-awaited successor – a double blow for the electric mobility division.

Maybe if Nissan took care of the ICE products, maybe they wouldnt be in hot water...

Frontier, Patrol, Sentra, Kicks & Qashqai could be great sellers if marketed properly

This sucks. 4 year old EVs and their batteries have degraded to the point of caching fire. And the owners are only getting a software update to maybe mitigate the possible fire risk. This will do wonders for the second hand market for those model years. But I wouldn't touch them with a long stick.
