BYD has pulled ahead of Tesla in the global EV sales race in 2025, with a lead of 400,000 units. The Chinese company narrowly lost out to its American rival in 2024.

Tesla stopped to chase innovation, now they just wanna sell auto-driving bs.

People just want reliable, cheaper cars. Simple.

Tesla's current technology is far superior to BYD's. Tesla's problem is that its vehicles are still more expensive. Everyone expects lower prices, and competing against BYD on price is difficult.
Tesla needs to release a small car with enough battery power to travel 500 miles and a reasonable price. Everyone is waiting for the Model 2.

On propulsion tech, driving assistance, etc... yes.
On battery tech, no.
BYD has superior battery tech by far.

No need, other Chinese brands will fill that niche if Tesla and other western brands don't want to.
