Title: Xiaomi matches Samsung's promise 6 years of updates for its budget smartphones
Post by: Redaktion on October 05, 2025, 10:00:03
Anyone who previously thought that long update periods were only available with Samsung or on high-end smartphones costing more than $1,000 will now be proven wrong by Xiaomi, as the company now promises a full six years of security updates for the Xiaomi Redmi 15C 5G. But can you take them at their word?

WHY DOESN'T IT DO THE SAME WITH TABLETS?
What I like least about Xiaomi is its updates, and even worse for tablets, a product that, due to its lesser use, could extend its current updates of only 4 years for the Xiaomi Pad 7 and only 2 years for the higher-end Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro. It's incomprehensible that a product suffers less wear and tear than a mobile phone and therefore isn't renewed as often.
Xiaomi vs. Samsung tablet updates
👉Xiaomi Pad 7 = 4 years, Samsung = 7 years
👉Xiaomi Pad 7 PRO = 2 years, Samsung = 7 years
Xiaomi's shame
