Title: ThinkPad T16g Gen 3: Lenovo introduces new 16-inch ThinkPad with up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 and 128 GB RAM
Post by: Redaktion on September 30, 2025, 14:11:39
The ThinkPad T16g Gen 3 is a high-end 16-inch laptop powered by Intel's Core Ultra 200HX processors. Unlike the similar-looking ThinkPad P16 Gen 3, the ThinkPad T16g Gen 3 can be configured with Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 or GeForce RTX 5090 GPUs too.

P16 Gen3's RTX PRO GPUs (especially the RTX1000 and 2000 with only 8GB VRAM) make the 180 W USB-C charger seem more reasonable. But 180 W USB-C for the 5080 and 5090? You must be kidding me!

Maybe less of a problem for the 5080 as it starts from 80W TGP, but for the 5090, 95W is the absolute minimum. Really poor design decision to nerf a performance workstation. I wonder why they made this call.
