Then why would they send an early sample to mrwhostheboss? Looks like they planning a global release to me.

Oppo sent a review sample of X8 Ultra to MKBHD, but never did global release.
I read that their WILL be global versions and that they will feature satellite connectivity. But I still haven't heard any release date, unfortunately.
Also, it's important to note that Chinese market phones, in addition to different firmware, can also lack physical hardware needed to use certain networks outside of China. For example, my Chinese Xiaomi 15 no longer works on the latest networks in Canada. Data works, but the Canadian network fallback frequency for phone calls no longer works. Strangely, last year this same phone worked fine in Canada.

Sorry, was a Xiaomi 13
Xiaomi have a bad habbit of omitting crucial 5G connectivity in their china rom phones versus global version. The hardware is the same with the correct bands for 5G but omits the 5G protocol for bands outside of China. If you flash to global ROM on the same phone, you will get the 5G service but will have issue with bank apps that require secured OS. Vivo on the other hand doesn't do this & the china ROM phone will work with 5G outside of China with the 5G bands that the phone specified.
