The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are facing fresh durability complaints just days after launch. While the devices were already criticized for scratching easily, multiple users now report visible scuffs and impact damage even when using protective cases from brands like Apple, Spigen, and Pelican.

Cases are going to have to be redesigned to protect the soft 17 pros from the cases they are wearing. What a timeline! And an AppleCare chassis repair is likely going to run a pretty penny; this isn't like a 5 minute glass/screen replacement, the entire phone has to be disassembled and reassembled to replace the chassis!
