Title: Developers of third-party Switch 2 games express frustration, with Game-Key Cards a concern

Many third-party studios believe that Nintendo has made it overly difficult to develop Switch 2 games. A new report highlights the concerns surrounding Game-Key Cards. Slow dev kit shipments have also prevented some studios from releasing games for the consoles.

Ok, a quick peek at the local BestBuy and a Switch Lite can be had for $230 and Switch2 bundle for $499.

Forgetting for the moment the heavy discounted Steam Deck, the Nintendo offerings generally come in at a lower cost then the handheld "PC" offerings from other OEM's.

While the Switch2 is usually less expensive AND allows access to Nintendo's library of 1st party games IMHO the real selling point for the Switch2 is there is enough performance in the Switch2 to enable porting of some (or hopefully many!) popular games that can be played on other handhelds and gaming systems.

Why Nintendo would 'shoot themselves in the foot' here by making 3rd party porting of games to the Switch2 difficult is beyond me.

Yeah and Nintendo will resell you Witcher 3 and gta5 for 60€ while you'll get them for 10-15 on the pc handheld.

Multiply by 30 games and your switch has suddenly become extremely expensive.

1500€ too expensive.
