It's fine, we have had many snowboarding games in the meantime. Supreme Snowboarding, Stoked, Steep, Amped, Shawn White's, Riders Republic. Now we have Shredders, which is by far the best. SSX is redundant, even though it would be nostalgic to have it again.
It's just like rebooting Tony Hawk's Pro Skater when we have Skate 4 on its way, Skater XL and Session.
It you like unrealistic approaches to these disciplines in the form of video games, then THPS and SSX are for you. If not, you are way better served with the rest
