The team at CD Projekt Red is listening to player feedback and still improving things. With the latest update, optimizations have been made to AutoDrive and photo mode features that were introduced in the previous major update.

I just don't understand why this game never got multiplayer in any official capacity.

Wasn't their game budget big enough to cover such a feature?

GTA 1 released in 1997 came with LAN multiplayer.

No excuses.
