Title: Keychron gaming mice update delivers chunk of new features, including a way to emulate "Sniper" buttons and profile switching
Post by: Redaktion on September 05, 2025, 07:24:13
Keychron has updated its gaming mouse line-up with both a 20K FPS lock and support for adding and removing DPI and polling rate steps, solving one of the few complaints we had about gaming mice like the M7 8K. With the update, you can now program the M7 8K to have similar "Sniper Button" functionality to mainstream gaming mice.

What a terrible design. Non-symmetrical means non-ergonomic. I would have to saw that protruding ledge off of the side and then I could use it.

It's not surprising. The overwhelming majority of mice are usable, which means symmetrical. Going out of your way to make the mice painful and inconvenient to use as a pretty bad idea.

Not sure what you're on about here. The two primary categories in gaming mice are ergonomic and symmetrical, with ergonomic being asymmetrical. Not sure if you've looked at your hands recently, but the left and right sides of your hands are a little different ;). Besides, ergonomics is about 80% subjective, especially when it comes to mice. If you enjoy symmetrical mice, good for you. Many people don't lol. I can get along with just about any mouse shape, but I really prefer an ergo design. The M7 8K is super comfy for me because it's so low, and the thumb shelf thing doesn't get in the way. Not sure it's of much use, but it's perfectly fine.

Oh, this update interest me! I hope they let us change that polling rate button to a profile switcher eventually because as it stands, it's kinda pointless 🤣

Best use of a sniper button is as push to talk.
