A federal jury in San Francisco, US, has determined that Google has to pay $425 million in damages after being found guilty of illegally harvesting user data during a long-running class action lawsuit that started in 2020. The plaintiffs sought $31 billion in damages.

$425M to Google is like $42.5 to me.

More like $4.25 :)

Note the obvious disconnect here:

"users can turn off personalization"

Google STILL collects whatever data they wish, however may not go onto using it to 'personalize' the users experience.

As apposed to never collecting the data in the first place.
