Last-minute rumours were true: Garmin has become the first manufacturer to bring a microLED smartwatch to market. As a leak yesterday made clear, Garmin has decided to use the Fenix 8 Pro not only as its first microLED smartwatch but also one with LTE connectivity.

There's no compelling reason to spend the extra money, unless the satellite comm function is essential, one can pretty much get away with a phone connected... this variant isn't even launched for all countries 😅
Safe to say, those really use a fēnix would want a long battery life than short one.
It's niche to want very bright display by compromising the core features, probably some want it badly, else better wait for an improved next generation.
