Following the widespread motherboard defects of the Xperia 1 VII, the next setback for Xperia is now plaguing users, as Sony is locking a feature that was previously free behind a paywall: using Xperia smartphones as an external monitor for Sony cameras is now only possible with a subscription.

First a major defect unseen in any flagship phones, and now a paywall. Sony is digging its own grave.

No thanks, Sony, I think I'll pay ONCE to Atomos for a Ninja, the industry standard and a larger screen to boot.
