It isn't a "5G" adapter, it's a 5Gig Ethernet adapter. Saying it's "5G" makes it sound like it's a cellular modem rather than an Ethernet interface.
Idk why I was expecting it, but I thought this was going to be some form on wired hotspot.
Like a 5G device you activate with Verizon and plug into your 1GbE / 2.5GbE / 10GbE port
5G = Cellular 5 Gigahertz Band (a band frequency, NOT a Measurement of Transfer speed.
5Ghz = Wifi 5 Gigahertz Band, NOT a Measurement of Transfer speed.
5GbE = 5 Gigabit Ethernet. Definitely a Measurement of Speed. 625MB/s
You're writer should move away from tech.
That's literally the name of the adapter. NotebookChat goes to some lengths itself to point out how silly this is, so it's hard to see how they can be blamed for it other than possibly not putting the name in "scare quotes" in the title.
Ubiquiti charges $15 to ship a 38g adapter that cost $49 from their store in the US.
Ridiculous.
Damn, was really hoping they'd launched a 5G modem to Ethernet adapter which I could use as a failover connection with my UDM SE.

5G = 5th generation LTE not 5 GHz
We get your point, but it's the device name. If you're gonna s*** on someone, get your facts straight.
Likely needs replacement every 6 months because eol like rest line
