Ubiquiti has started shipping its first products for the proprietary SuperLink protocol. To start, an environmental sensor is available and can be paired with a siren. Seven additional SuperLink products are expected to launch by the end of 2025.

6 years on a CR123A is not really impressive.
That is about 10-12 CR2024 in capacity and an average Zigbee temperature, pressure and humidity sensor will last 2 years on a cell.
Even a PIR sensor, with normal usage, will run a year on one...
I mean it's probably nice for shareholders to have vendor lock in, but as a user, this is a nothing burger.
