Title: Alienware 16 Aurora review: Affordable starter laptop for 1080p Ultra gaming
Post by: Redaktion on August 27, 2025, 21:14:20
For $1100, users get a great 120 Hz IPS display with full sRGB colors and a respectable GeForce RTX 5060 GPU. One specific drawback, however, may turn off some mainstream or competitive gamers.

The usual surface temperature section is missing. Please add this, as it is really important for someone really using this on his lap.

So is the 5060 performing just like other laptop's 5050? It certainly seems so with that TimeSpy Graphics Score.
Anyways, thanks for the review. Will share with others.

I have also noticed that many tests are simply missing from many laptop reviews. Please include all tests like Hotspot temperatures like you do in all reviews.

Tom's Hardware's Brandon Hill tested the laptop in the same configuration, but the results regarding the gaming performance were far worse.

In his test the 5060 could only achieve 30 fps in Cyberpunk on FHD-Medium-Settings. How is this huge difference of more than 200% possible?
