A new report reveals how reliant Microsoft wants its employees to be on AI. Candy Crush and Farm Heroes Saga developer King has already seen 200 jobs sacrificed, with more upheaval possible. The unaffected mobile game developers will eventually use AI tools exclusively.

It's going to be really interesting to see where this ends up.

I finally left the entire Microsoft ecosystem a few years back after Windows 11 started to become more effort to maintain in terms of an operating system than I was comfortable with. I was an IT manager for 20+ years, and [used to] know Windows like the back of my hand.

Now?

I cringe at the stories I read about 11's further fall from grace.

It comes down to trust, and I simply stopped trusting that Microsoft had my experience and data integrity as a primary factor.

They are making so much money I doubt they care to lose me, but still fascinating to watch.
