Some premium smartphones might whittle their rear camera counts down to as little as two in the future. They might still be able to compete with more lens-rich flagships with the addition of new external lenses, though. The new accessories will enhance mobile photography while avoiding the addition of much bulk, apparently.

i would actually love this. i currently have an xperia 1 vi but even after a year of using it i cant get used to how larger the phone is, but im also enjoying using the cameras a lot so i dont want to switch back to a smaller phone either. with something like these attachable lenses there might be more of a chance of being able to use a smaller phone again but still have better cameras when you need them
