New battery technology from South Korea could address key weaknesses in today's lithium-ion batteries. The system, developed by Pohang University of Science and Technology (Postech) and Sogang University, enables higher energy density with significantly longer lifespans.

Well I have to say... Battery tech has advanced A LOT these past 5 years (7000 mAh phones are appearing already this year). It seems that we'll have a very interesting 5-15 years of even better batteries ahead of us.

We might have +1000 Km electric cars even on small sized vehicles, and phones that last for 2-3 days without charging... I'm happy with were things are headed on battery tech.
