For around €100 you can grab the iPlay 60 mini Pro, and honestly that's not bad at all. You get a decent FHD display, expandable storage, ok dual speakers, and even fast charging support. Compared to rivals like the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, Lenovo M8/M9, or Fire HD 8, it's actually ahead with sharper visuals, more RAM, and a stronger chip, making it one of the best sub-€200 compact 8" tablets.
I've been tracking this thing since it was announced. IMO it is still a bit too expensive. The real problem is that it is out-competed on both the low end and high end. If it had mobile data or active stylus support it would have been very attractive at this price point.
On the high end... Any of the Lenovo Legion Y700s will offer pen support and a desktop mode. RedMagic's Astra has OLED.
On the low end... Alldocube itself is beating it. The iPlay 50 Mini Pro has mobile data and is often around $150. The iPlay 60 Mini Turbo is also a much better value as it is fast enough, has all the same shortcomings, but is over $100 cheaper usually priced around $190.
The idea of the iPlay 70 Mini Ultra was a good concept, but bad execution. But as often said, there are no bad products, only bad prices. At $250 or below this will be a steal.
Companies are still piggy-backing off Apple's iDevice product naming?
Suggests a lack of creativity and unawareness of their market.
