TSMC may have to drastically increase its investment in the US if it wants to avoid the crushing tariff on semiconductors made in Taiwan that the US is readying to impose. Buying Intel, however, is a subject of separate negotiations that TSMC may not be involved in.

TSMC should tell Trump to shove it on both the Intel exotrtion and stop investing a cent in that shitstain of a country until Trump is frogmarched in handcuffs straight to maximum security. Trying to placate a criminally insane and very, very stupid lunatic is an appalling act of cowardice from TSMC.
