The U.S. will impose flat $80-$200 duties on all overseas mini PCs and SBCs starting August 29. The sudden de minimis repeal will likely raise costs sharply for developers, hobbyists, and makers.

Most of these are subsidized by the CCP. Who knows what might be embedded in the firmware of these devices?

"subsidized by CCP" lol you mean in the same way every single major corporation in the US takes US federal dollars, subsidies, and backroom deals from lobbying so that is also all public taxpayer dollars covering the costs for US companies? and please don't ever mention China and embedded firmware when those claims have never been substantiated meanwhile the CIA, NSA, FBI, and every other US three letter agency has been caught time after time doing domestic and global surveillance to steal trade, policy, and geopolitical secrets to continue it's western imperialist warmongering and violence. how many wars, coups, military invasions, drone strikes, and literal nuclear bombs has China ever done or dropped in its history? because the US has done all those countless times since the early 20th century.
