The news comes from a long-time contributor on the Speedhunters website that was also funded by EA as part of its Need For Speed universe.

If Ea can not create NEW titles to push NFS forward. How about be safe and remake Highstakes, Hot pursuit 2, Underground 1 just add cop's, made The Run better or rehire Blackbox studio employees.
In my personal opinion NFS started dying right after the run was released. Flop one after another up to Unbound.
NFS used to be about racing against racers and Evading arrest. 8 racers to get in first place before passing Finish line. Now only 4 cars, before First corner you in First place and no more cars to defeat challenge disappeared. In modern day NFS it's like driving in your neighborhood, driving downtown, roaming around doing absolutely nothing!!! Looking for any race to race in. what really screwed NFS up so bad is when they created online multiplayer racing. Online gamers deliberately crash into you over and over and over again ruining your online experience's.
