Title: AMD Zen 6 Targets 7GHz Leak - Moore's Law Is Dead
Post by: Redaktion on July 12, 2025, 03:37:44
AMD's upcoming Zen 6 desktop processors may be targeting 7 GHz or higher clock speeds, according to a new report by Moore's Law Is Dead. Multiple internal sources have reportedly confirmed this ambitious frequency goal for the high-end Olympic Ridge SKUs based on TSMC's advanced N2X process.

Too funny Moore's law is broke really I've been listening that crap for what's going on almost 65 years I'm 70 now.

As long as new materials and increased development in the ability to see smaller and smaller objects then our electronics will continue to be reduced in size.

Moore's law dead no more slaw will die when we have no ability to imagine or to create.

We aren't progressing because we can see smaller at this point. It's the process of getting the atoms in the right structure else it is a defect. And how we add traces to the die that are magnitudes thinner than a human hair. You have to cut with light to cut small enough channels for everything to be as small as possible.  Currently it's a problem of technology than vision to be able to makes cpus and in a way that is repeatable and mass producible and cost. That's what is slowing us down from going even faster.

Are you not aware that atoms are finite? It will be physically dead soon, but then we'll have photonics.

Moore's law is dead is the name of the blog/channel aka the source of the leak
