Just a minor nitpick, but: I would like to point out that microtransactions live service features are not "popular". Popular means favorable with the people, and that is definitely not the case. They are favorable with distributor CEOs and investors, but normal gamers hate them with a passion.

1: of or relating to the general public
2: suitable to the majority: such as
 a: adapted to or indicative of the understanding and taste of the majority
 b: suited to the means of the majority : inexpensive
3: frequently encountered or widely accepted
4: commonly liked or approved

They are referring to the #3 definition, the "frequently encountered"
