The NSF-DOE Vera C. Rubin Observatory has begun operations in Chile with the world's largest 3,200 MP LSST camera mounted in the 8.4-meter Simonyi Survey telescope, capturing the area of 45 moons with each photo and generating 20 TB of data nightly.
