It's actually crazy how chinese smartphones have the best tech. I'm a fan of pixels/nexus phones but in this comparison I find pictures by Oppo much better.

TBH, I find quite a stark difference when it comes to sharpening, text, texture, reflections, and it all is in favour of Pixel.
The biggest example I see are those three statues with flutes - they look utterly ridiculous on the Oppo.
Oppo is brighter however Pixel captures more colors. İt's like Oppo is 45% NTSC monitor while Pixel is 100% NTSC monitor. Pixel also captures more details and render them better in the final image. However, I have to admit that some daylight images by Oppo looks "better to my eye" despite the dimmed colors probably due to the higher exposure. I would be happy with both phones but prefer Pixel because of the color accuracy.
To me it seems that the Oppo just has better hardware. All the things which the Pixel is doing better is all just software algorithm processing. I think if someone can get a decent port of gcam on the Oppo then you'll have the best of both worlds.
The question to me then becomes, do Oppo Find X Pro series phones have decent gcam ports? The last time I tried getting a gcam port on my OnePlus 12R, it kept crashing. Eventually just gave up and went back to the stock camera app.
