Title: DJI: New changes could render (freshly) purchased drones and cameras unusable if buyers are not careful
Post by: Redaktion on June 14, 2025, 20:09:02
DJI is changing its terms and conditions. Buyers of such drones should be aware of these changes: in the worst case scenario, they could end up buying expensive electronic waste. This is particularly relevant for second-hand drones.

Should help prevent stolen drones.

I feel like this is a non issue. Wouldn't nearly all DJI drones be bound to the controller that they come with? And when reselling the drone, wouldn't most DJI owners be selling said bound controller with that drone? Unless you are using an upgraded controller I feel like this would really only be an issue for DIY drone kits.

It's to bind your phone or tablet. Unless you planning on selling your device as well..
