"cult" shooter???
Ah yes, the cult shooter Medal of Honor released by indie darlings Electronic Arts. The 58th best-selling PSX game of all time.
I think they call it a cult shooter because, while old folks remember this game very vividly, it hasn't been a thing in the past 15 years. In contrast to Call of Duty etc.
Lol, I immediately knew from that cropped screenshot it was MOH and exactly what mission (the u boat mission).
I'd love a remake :)
Well, well, well, what do we got here: https://imgur.com/a/tf7XNKn (https://imgur.com/a/tf7XNKn)
😺
An amazing shooter, still, easily, one of the very best WW2 single player fps games of all time.

Same! 😁
You are not Fredrick alarm
I still play mohaa multi-player occasionally that was super fun at LANs back in the day
I vividly remember playing the first one because I was an adult when that came out. I don't ever remember joining a cult..... But that must be all the brainwashing, which I told them they didn't have to do. I thought my brain was pretty clean. Guess I was wrong about that one huh? So anyway yeah I remember that very vividly because it was so popular and because I was brainwashed. Anyway, love the original and if there's a full remake of this coming out please make sure to let me know at the next cult meeting. All right now I have to go do some explaining to my wife. She's going to be devastated to find out I've been in a cult.
Also I cut my finger, so I have the blood on the screen but no matter how hard I try the finger print in blood won't stay.....vision berry gonna p*** out nnn
Srry
Calling this a "cult shooter" is nuts lol.
As soon as I seen that thumbnail I'm my news feed I knew it Medal of Honour
Awesome game for sure. The first real shooter game, i remember alot of people cracking out to this game. Never understand why the haven't remastered it yet.

Were Unreal Tournament and Quake 3 Arena (MOH uses Q3's engine) fake shooters? Both are from 1999.
"Credentials please."
Underated game.
I met my wife playing this game 23 years ago. She travelled over 4'500 miles to meet me for the first time and we have 4 kids and a wonderful life thanks to MOH AA.

Sure were!
League of Lions UT clan forever. And Quake 2 Yaay!
I still don't get why COD kinda exploded in popularity and MOH kind of became irrelevant. I remember playing both MOH:AA and COD 1 back in the day. Both were both pretty big and similar but I always preferred MOH:AA over COD. What happened?
And since we're on the topic, why did some old shooters like UT and Quake die out but not CS which is also ancient? You can't say because they're too competitive or not popular on consoles because csgo is pretty competitive with a high skill ceiling and also not on consoles either.

They are arena shooters, and that alone makes them simply too difficult and too fast-paced for modern gamers ("gamers") today. Here is actually a great watch on that matter if you are willing to spend 26 minutes of your day: Why did Quake (and arena shooters) die? (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-t37idOfvk)
I really miss those old days of UT99 and Q3A, heh...
