Title: The all-round improved outdoor phone with a removable battery – Samsung Galaxy XCover7 Pro review
Post by: Redaktion on June 05, 2025, 17:09:54
Where other phones fall flat, the Samsung Galaxy XCover7 Pro is just getting started: water and dust don't bother it, and it's ideally equipped for long periods of use thanks to its replaceable battery. In this review, we took a look at the upgrades the Pro version features and whether it offers more than other rugged phones.

Extremely overpriced phone that doesn't offer anything. With a good case and good screen protector, i can have a much cheaper device with even better durability, but also much, much better screen (What's the point of an "outdoor-oriented phone" when you can't even see the screen?), much better battery life, better cameras; better everything.

It offers a user-replaceable battery and a 1/8" audio jack. Which competitor with those features do you prefer?

Actually, it doesn't have an audio jack. You'd have to use an adapter or use the USB-C one if you're not going to use Bluetooth.

I so want to love this phone but it is a big fail.

1. really 500 nit brightness on an outdoor phone, this is terrible!!!  Budget phones from Motorola and half the price destroy this for example and almost just as durable.

2. speakers on a rugged phone should be loudest and best period

3. screen size would like to see 6.7

Samsung fix these make them flagship or better level with the plastic style case and I will even pay you more for your phone!!

With current state I would get the Motorola Edge or Power 2025 for way less money and a better phone with a sligfht drop in ruggedness but with the lower pricing can just easily replace if they break...  Samsungs Xcover pro is in no mans land as cheaper phones beat it in core functions and more expensive flagship samsung phones beat it in every category, just put a case on the them...

Fyi I bought a Samsung Active Tab Galaxy 5 tablet so believe me I wanted to buy this
