Choppy performance in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet often made finding and capturing creatures a chore. Nintendo has revealed how Switch 2 specs may lure trainers back to the title. Without specifics, fans of Pokémon games wonder if 60 fps is a possibility.

I mean, 60fps was possible on the switch 1, it just needed time to be optimized properly...hell, with enough optimization you could get SV running on Wii. It was never an issue of power. If they just run it on switch 2 with no code updates, no, 60 fps will not be possible. Particularly in the areas it was most noticeable (the classroom cutscene at the start with legs going at 3 fps or the windmills in the distance doing the same). Their method was radial rendering, (as far as I can tell) it needed to be conal like botw

Yes, looks like a 60 fps mode is confirmed. I added an update to the article.
