Soft contact lenses embedding upconversion nanoparticles convert near-infrared photons into visible light with over 85 percent transparency, granting direct near-infrared vision without surgery.https://www.notebookcheck.net/Contact-lenses-give-humans-infrared-vision-with-color-perception.1024143.0.html
Low intensity infrared can help eyesight, however...
high intensity one can damage retina or cornea, so it should be used with caution.
LIDAR should.t be used too, as it can damage eyes as well - remember recent camera recording?
Do not look into lidar directly.
Hope it goes away soon.
