Title: Rumours of a limited tri-fold release indicate Samsung has little confidence in the foldable smartphone market
Post by: Redaktion on May 23, 2025, 18:00:03
There has been plenty of talk lately about Samsung releasing a challenger to the Huawei Mate XT this year. Recent suggestions that Samsung's first tri-fold will only be available in China and South Korea are the latest in a line of clues that Samsung has increasingly less confidence in the foldable market that it once pioneered.

It's a cellphone with an estimated price between US$3000 and US$3500!
It's not a question of confidence but of common sense!
It's a product that solves a problem almost no one has and is really just a toy for very wealthy ponces and tech fans who desperately need to be able to say "I got one!".

If Sammy wants to revive the foldable market, make one under $1000, not one over $3000.

This is such a dumb title. The Z Fold sells just fine. However, regarding the topic at hand, the Trifold is an extremely expensive phone, possibly priced in the $3,000 range. The average American is unlikely to buy this, so it's understandable that they would produce a limited number of them.
