Title: The fastest gaming laptop is now even better thanks to 300 Hz mini LED - XMG Neo 16 E25 RTX 5090 laptop review

The Neo 16 is traditionally the fastest gaming laptop from XMG, and the 2025 model too comes with a matte, 300 Hz mini LED display in addition to the HX CPUs from AMD/Intel and new Blackwell GPUs. However, its high performance is offset by a few connectivity blemishes.

Please make a review of the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D version of this same laptop. Would really want to see how it compares to the intel model. I would imagine it would score more than overall 90% score :D

Just out of curiosity, how safe is it to plug and unplug the watter cooling often?

Can it leak at any point? (be it on the laptop connector, be it on the cable's connector side of things).

It is necessary to use distilled water in the water cooling system. Distilled water prevents short circuits.

I have the E23 model of Neo 17. At some point I was plugging and unplugging the laptop from the watercooler several times a day and I didn't have any issues with it. I think there's again a new connector which should make it better but I think the previous one was already solid.

Regarding the E23 model, it has couple of standout features: The mechanical keyboard and really solid firmware. Sorry to see the newer models losing the mechanical keyboard but I hope they still have a good firmware and driver story. I deal with Lenovo/Microsoft laptops at works and they often are such a mess on the software side. With the Neo E23 I had the feeling that someone at XMG is actually using this particular model, as it was/is just stable.

Also positive for XMG is that they post interesting laptop deep dives on their website.

The response times of 17.4 ms and 13 ms are extremely bad. 300 HZ -> 1/300 = 0.003333 ms response time. 17.4 ms = 57 Hz, WTH.

There are some differences: for example, Dream Machines has an 80Wh battery.

It doesn't justify the extra 500€. Apart from this difference i can't find any other differences. Additionally, i don't care so much for the battery because gaming laptops don't offer great battery generally. I prefer to pay 500€ less than pay 500€ more for extra 19Wh battery.
