Although Google's "Find My Device" network has struggled to keep pace with Apple's AirTag, Google is launching a new offensive with the release of Android 16. The new Google Find Hub is designed to simplify the process of finding items with many new features, starting with UWB support.

Still not changing the default phone setting to All Areas so other than UWB benefits, the network will still be hobbled.

Google still not serious about actually being "tough competition" to Apple's service.
