OnePlus has abruptly announced that the launch for its latest Android tablet in China will clash with that of Samsung's latest (and thinnest) flagship Android smartphone worldwide. The Pad 2 Pro is now slated to debut with a 144Hz display driven by the top-end Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. It might be available with more RAM and storage than its apparent rival handset.https://www.notebookcheck.net/OnePlus-Pad-2-Pro-reservations-open-ahead-of-imminent-launch.1014130.0.html
I hope this product competes with the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro not only for its much more powerful chip, but also for its artificial intelligence capabilities.
One of the features not mentioned in the news is software updates. Xiaomi grants 4 years of operating system updates and 5 years of security patches; Samsung offers 5 years. I hope this OnePlus Pad 2 Pro offers at least 5 years of operating system updates and patches, otherwise it won't be a purchase option for millions of tablet users.
Can anyone tell me how many updates this new OnePlus Pad 2 Pro will have?
