Despite years of patents and at least one public hiring effort focused on emulation, Sony has yet to implement native support for legacy platforms — even as next-generation development continues behind the scenes.

I'd love to simply put my PS1/PS2/PS3 disc in "next-gen" or even current...but my PS3 Phat will have to suffice as superior in every way except current gen.
