Title: MSI Vector A18 HX A9W laptop review: GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is the way to go
Post by: Redaktion on May 09, 2025, 19:00:43
The Vector A18 HX is one of the first 18-inch gaming laptops to pair an AMD Zen 5 CPU with the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti. It balances efficiency with performance quite well considering the hefty size and huge 400 W AC adapter.

It's not "5070 Ti", it's "5070 Ti Laptop": 5070 desktop (12GB VRAM) = 5070 Ti Laptop (12GB VRAM). It's the same 192-bit chip. End-consumers will confuse this with the 5070 Ti desktop dedicated GPU.
Later your write the correct product name:
Graphics adapter
Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop - 12 GB VRAM
QuoteThe test sample was provided to the author as a loan by the manufacturer or retailer for the purpose of this review.
Is this why you don't mention the correct product name in the title? Should be illegal.

3200 USD + taxes and no OLED Display.

Yeah, it seems like a good laptop but I failed to see how this is a "balanced" one in term of pricing, especially when the Vector 16 (Intel version) has the same price but with Ultra 9 275HX + 5080. To be fair, the 2 listings I found for Vector A18 are both 2k9 USD, but the MSRP is indeed 3k2

Seems like a bunch of missing templated values, with empty "()"?

QuoteOur test unit is a middle configuration with the 1600p240 Hz IPS display, Ryzen )(()() CPU, and 140 W GeForce RTX 5070 Ti GPU for approximately ))()( retail. The top configuration comes with a 2400p120 mini-LED display and 175 W GeForce RTX 5080 GPU for ())()( more. Users who want the even faster RTX 5090 will have to look one step up at the Raider 18 HX series.

Alternatives to the Vector A18 HX include other 18-inch gaming laptops like the ())(, ())(, or )(()().

You think that those end-consumers are incapable to read past the title of the review and that they make their purchasing decision based on nothing but that (the title) with an expectation to see a 304 mm x 137 mm x 48 mm desktop 5070 Ti GPU slotted in a 404 mm x 307.5 mm x 32.05 mm laptop? Yeah, makes sense...

...if they are literal sub-30 IQ morons.
