The latest Shield Experience Upgrade 9.2.1 brings support for 120 FPS at 1080p. It also fixes several issues including Dolby Vision content stutters, playback issue in PLEX, and connections with third-party remotes.

So... Shield TV has the Switch hardware... and Switch 2 is coming out soon so... when will Shield TV get an update?

Since Tegra X1 and X1+ are basically the same, it means that the Shield TV has been using the same chip for 10 years already!

I have to say though... the fact that Shield TV is still getting updates is pretty impressive.

I think you should give up hope here. It's not like Nvidia is struggling for money. If they cared they probably would of updated it ages ago but they're too busy chasing AI to care at all.

Considering the amount of strix halo nucs that have been released and aren't too obscenely priced, I think they're a possible nice alternative(?)
