"12-inch model with a metal body and a design similar to the Surface Go. This model, which has also appeared on Geekbench, will have a Snapdragon X (X1P-42-100) processor, 16GB of RAM, and run Windows 11 Pro. "
12" instead of 11" is a change in the rumour mill.
As I have feared Snapdragon so Windows on ARM for the Surface Go successor, I have resurrected my over 9 years old iPad with a new battery instead of prolonging my tablet-less period of two weeks.
Surface Go (or whatever the new name) with Lunar Lake set to low TDPs enabling fan-less at a reasonable price (also for battery replacement), with at least some restriction of display mirroring and preferably with Windows Pro I would buy. Surface Go with Snapdragon Microsoft will not offer cheap enough (also for battery replacement) to convince me of this crap functionally equalling iPadOS.
Presumably only 256GB SSD will be further discouragment for the time and money needed to replace it by 512+GB.
